30 Jul.’16: An Adaptation of The Tempest in Tamil (Theater)

An adaptation of William Shakespeare’s play The Tempest will be staged as a play/theater in Tamil at the Museum Theater, Egmore, Chennai, on July 30, Saturday, 2016 @ 7.30 P.M.

This play has been directed by Samyukhta P.C., a writer and stage director based in Chennai and is presented by Crea Shakti. The Tempest has been adapted in various languages across the world to highlight the truths of colonialism, slavery and oppression. The play pits young against the old and looks at changing priorities over generations. It’s got magic, science and politics, and is presented in நம்ம மொழி தமிழ் – what more do you want? 🙂
